FRIDAY FICTIONEERS
Friday Fictioneers is hosted by the lovely Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. Every week we are given a photo prompt and the challenge is to write a piece of flash fiction in 100 words based on the prompt.
Here are my 94 words. I really really hope you like my attempt.

SUFFER THE LITTLE CHILDREN
The old workshop was ideal for him. He could work in peace and no one ever went there, not even when the town’s children started going missing. Why would they? The workshop had been abandoned for years now.
The police said they had no idea if the children were dead or alive.
Oh, they’re alive, he smirked to himself. Barely.
Years ago, ten cruel middle-schoolers and their followers had ruined his school life. Now their children would have to pay.
He smiled and sharpened his knife. Suffer the little children.

I’m reading how children were treated in the time of the Roman Empire’s cruelest moments. It was NOT pretty.
Your submission this week reminded me.
However, I could see you even maybe having fun writing this,
almost like an exerpt from a longer story, say 5,000 words? hehehe!

Revenge on the young and innocent is never pretty. Yeah I did feel quite happy writing it though because I’m really too evil for words 😀 thank you for stopping by to read!

Dark, but good revenge – good story on the prompt picture – I think you could make a good story out of this – I would like to read it! Nan

Dear Tinkerbelle,
Your are a wicked little fairy, aren’t you? I mean this in a good way. So dark, but so well done.

Rochelle

The story was disturbing, but in the horror genre it would be expected. It was well written. I hope a super detective comes to the rescue of those poor children.

Very chilling. The sins of the father often fall to the children to repay. Good story.

Thank you!

True to life, sadly. Adults should beware of their actions because the children often pay for the wrongs done to others.

SO… I can’t help but wonder how he was ridiculed as a child and how his crime(s) unraveled.
Always good to leave them wanting more 🙂
